BitsAlive Game Studios is an independent game developer based in Austria. We create games for desktop, consoles and mobile devices.
Ronald Soelkner, Marcus Buettner and Christian Stuecklschweiger - the founders of BitsAlive Game Studios - developed their first game "Internet Detective" in 1996. It was a point-and-click adventure game about a young detective who solves crimes by doing his research using the Internet (which wasn't as common in 1996 as it is today). The game won first price at the international "Press Button To Continue" awards. After that
In 2011, when mobile-phone gaming became more and more popular, Chris and Ron decided to developer a couple of small games under the name "BitsAlive" using a proprietary game engine. Later when Marcus Buettner joined the team as a network/server developer they switched to the Unity Game Engine and started working on a small project called "Paper Pinball" for iOS and Android.Today
In July 2017, BitsAlive Game Studios was officially founded as a company and developed the official game "Kulm Skiflug" for the Sky Flying World Championship as well as "Bullyparade - DER Spiel" for Michael Bully Herbig's movie "Bullyparade - Der Film". In 2018 BitsAlive Game Studios switched from Unity to Unreal Engine to develop a yet unannounced game for desktop and consoles.
